We are delighted this year's Virgin London Marathon is going ahead! We hope people cheer along all the runners but especially the Born Free Run Wild team:

  • Emily Bennett, Southampton
  • Maria Jose Castro, Costa Rica
  • Nick Bellis, Barnes
  • Phillip McCulloch, Colchester
  • Peter Verdult, London
  • Ritchi Edwards
  • Julie George, Staffordshire
  • Susan Rintoul, London
  • Simon Beacham, Devon
  • Lisa Ferguson, Kent
  • Irene Treston-Waller, East Yorkshire
  • Lisa Richardson

The Virgin London Marathon will take place on Sunday 3rd of October, with runners completing the iconic 26.2 mile route through central London. The Virtual Marathon will also take place on Sunday 3rd of October, and runners will be able to complete the 26.2 miles on a route of their choice, over a 24 hour period.

A massive thank you to our Run Wild Team who took part in this year’s 40th Virgin London Marathon on Sunday 4th October 2020, which took place up and down the country for the first time in its history.

Ritchi Edwards, Tracy Guild, Philip McCulloch, Ella Mutch and Sophie Orr all put their best foot forward and pounded the pavements to raise money to support our work.

For Ritchi, who ran from Witham, in Essex, to Colchester and back, in dreary conditions, and Tracy, who ran from Whitby to Scarborough in glorious sunshine, it was their first full marathon, so extra congratulations to you both.
