Registrations for the 2025 Born Free Run Wild Squad are now open.
Each place on the Born Free Run Wild Team is a precious opportunity do something amazing for wildlife. Each team spot is a crucial part of our annual fundraising through challenge events. So, whether you have a personal best to beat or whether you run pole pole (meaning slowly slowly in Swahili) we invite you to apply for a spot on the 2025 RUN WILD team. Put your best foot forward and fundraise for a compassionate and equitable future for wildlife.
Use your ballot place to run for Born Free – do something amazing!
If you are lucky enough to secure a 2025 ballot place, we’d love to have you on the team! It’s free to join the RUN WILD team with your ballot place and there is no minimum fundraising target. We just ask that you raise what you can to support our fight for a better future for wild animals. We hope you’ll join the thousands of others taking on this iconic 26.2-mile challenge in April 2025, and accomplish something incredible in aid of Born Free in the process.

Missing out on a ballot or charity place in the TCS London Marathon can be disappointing – but your journey does not have to end here. There are several ways you can still be involved in this epic event.
Your Invitation to the TCS London Marathon 2025 VIRTUAL TEAM.
Become a proud member of our Virtual Run Wild team. By joining the virtual team, you’re automatically on the priority waitlist should a spot open up due to unforeseen circumstances. In 2024, when four team members had to step aside due to injury and personal circumstances, our virtual runners seamlessly stepped in as they were already training and fundraising for Born Free.
With just a £30 registration fee (£40 for internationals) and no minimum fundraising target for our virtual runners, you’ve got absolutely nothing to lose and everything to gain. We just ask that you raise what you can to support Born Free’s work to protect wild animals around the world. The funds raised from your participation in the virtual marathon will directly support our conservation efforts, from protecting vital ecosystems to rescuing and rehabilitating animals in need.
