    It’s free to join the RUN WILD team with your ballot place and there is no minimum fundraising target. We just ask that you raise what you can to support compassionate conservation. We hope you’ll join the thousands of others taking on this iconic 26.2-mile challenge in April 2027, and accomplish something incredible in aid of Born Free in the process.

    Last year, four of our virtual team members seamlessly joined the in-person event, as they were already training and fundraising.

    The £30 registration fee has no minimum fundraising target—just raise what you can to support Born Free’s vital work for wild animals. Every pound helps rescue animals, protect their habitats, and make a real difference.

    Volunteer at the London Marathon

    Attention all wildlife enthusiasts! Join us in supporting wildlife conservation efforts by volunteering at the 2027 London Marathon. And if you are a keen runner, you’ll be top of the list for the following year’s charity spots!

    Responsibilities:

    • Cheering on runners and providing encouragement
    • Help with setting up and breaking down the Born Free basecamp
    • Greeting runners at the finish and guiding them to the Born Free basecamp
    • Assisting with various tasks, distributing hydration and food packs

    Requirements:

    • Enthusiasm for wildlife and conservation efforts
    • Ability to stand for long periods of time
    • Reliable transportation to and from the event location
