Born Free’s Rescue & Care Officer Flo Blackbourn recently had the opportunity to visit our sanctuaries at Shamwari, South Africa, home to rescued lions and leopards.

Thanks to concerned locals and holidaymakers, Raffi, Anthea and Rikki, who spent years languishing in tiny cages in Spain, were the first captive lions and leopard rescued by Born Free.
