Give the gift of Comfort & Joy

Enrichment activities help lions, leopards, tigers, gorillas, chimpanzees, pangolins and more, recover from the stress they suffered before being rescued and thrive in their sanctuary homes.

Every rescued animal has endured trauma – but your gift could heal them

A lion is laying on the grass next to a hessian sackKebri the lion was just weeks old when his mother was killed, after coming into ‘conflict’ with local people in Ethiopia.

Tragically, his brother died before he could be rescued. But we gave little Kebri a home at our sanctuary, where he could begin to overcome his trauma, and quickly grew!

Just £15 could buy a scent sack to enrich Kebri’s life – can you help him this Christmas?

Fasika the cheetah was just a baby when callously snatched from the wild in Ethiopia, to be sold as a pet. She was found, tied on a rope, sick, hungry and afraid. Now, at our sanctuary, we’re trying to make it up to her. Meanwhile, in South Africa, Zeiss the leopard suffered at a terrible zoo, where animals were left to starve. Now safe at our sanctuary at Shamwari Private Game Reserve, with expert loving care he can recover.

‘Environmental enrichment activities’ can help rescued animals like Kebri, Fasika and Zeiss recover from their distress, and stay active. Over the years, we’ve discovered what each one needs to help them heal, and to enhance their lives. But this takes the time and expertise of our dedicated caregivers.
