Kids think our fact-filled mag is ROARSOME!
Crammed with animal stories and wild news, our summer kids’ mag will inspire your wild child’s entire class. But, don’t take our word for it, let’s hear from the experts.
A new issue of Hear the Roar!! is here! This time, we’re taking a close look at primates – monkeys, apes and more. But, has your primary school signed up for their free magazines yet?
Twice a year, our colourful kids’ magazine takes young people on a glorious journey to explore the natural world. Fun, yet thought-provoking, Hear the Roar!! is filled with animal info, wildlife stories, puzzles and quizzes. The perfect way to encourage students to love the wild.
We asked some readers what they thought about Issue 12…
“I really enjoyed it! It’s packed full of unusual facts. I learnt tarsiers are primates and gorilla poo helps grow plants. It also includes a section for us to send our views on wildlife. There are also lots of bright colours which make the content stand out. I’d recommend it to anyone who love wildlife.”
~ Ben, aged 9
“I liked looking at the pictures of all the different animals.”
~ Evangeline, aged 7
“I did not like them [poachers] killing the animals as that is mean. I liked the story about Bobo the gorilla and that his troop is living happily.”
~ Charlie, aged 8
“It is amazing how much Born Free knows about animals. Oh, and the drawings were AMAZING! 10 out of 10.”
~ Leila, aged 8
“The magazine was really nice. My favourite part was the facts about primates.”
~ Bea, aged 10
“Hear the Roar!! is great. My favourite part was reading about the power of poop.”
~ Bertie, aged 8
“I LOVED reading this AMAZING magazine because it tells me that I should be helping animals in the wild. My favourite part of the magazine is the gorillas. I think animals should be kept in the wild, not in cages.”
~ Joseph, aged 9
“I loved it and read it in one night. I liked the pictures and the facts. I would like to know more gross facts about animals.”
~ Ayla, aged 7
Plans for the future
Our amazing reviewers gave us a few things to think about, and suggestions for things we can improve. We’ll be working to incorporate these changes into Issue 13, published this autumn.
This will include reducing the length of some articles, and adding phonetic pronunciations to help readers with complex words or tricky animal names.
