Following the success of our sell-out 2026 Gala event, we’re excited to launch Footsteps to Freedom 2027, which will take place on Thursday 18th March 2027, at the Royal Lancaster in London.
Tickets are now on sale for this glittering fundraising event, which will mark 25 years of Born Free Kenya, and feature a wonderful celebration of our spiritual homeland, where the Born Free story began.

A night to remember

This exclusive, black-tie event, will be filled with inspirational stories, elegant dining, thrilling entertainment and dancing. We’ll be joined by celebrity friends and well-known Born Free Patrons… full details will be revealed soon!
On arrival at the stunning Hyde Park hotel, guests will enjoy a champagne reception and personal welcome from Will Travers OBE, before a three-course vegetarian or vegan menu is served, including wine, with coffee and petit fours to finish.
Throughout the unmissable evening, guests will be entertained with incredible live performances and inspired by our speakers, there will be a live auction filled with unique and special items, plus a sensational live band. We will also be holding a silent auction, which anyone can bid on in the lead up to the event, and support our work.

We’ve worked in this stunning East African country for decades, but officially opened an office in 2002, to coordinate our work there. Born Free Kenya champions conservation, and helps local communities peacefully coexist with the precious wildlife we strive to protect.
