AN UPDATE ON SIMON

Do you remember Simon, the young, orphaned chimpanzee in Guinea-Bissau who was taken from the wild and sold as a pet? We raised funds last December to move Simon from his barren cage to a lifetime home at Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary in Kenya.

Working with the Pan African Sanctuary Alliance, we are still in the process of securing the required documentation to export Simon out of Guinea-Bissau and import him into Kenya. Unfortunately, receiving this documentation can be a long and often slow process.

Our contact on the ground tells us that Simon remains in good health and we, with the Pan African Sanctuary Alliance, will continue to work to help rescue Simon and give him a new start at Sweetwaters.

Once again, thank you for all your support and overwhelming generosity in helping raise funds for Simon’s move, and we will, of course, update you as soon as we can on his progress.
