New Year, new challenge?

Be inspired and do something amazing for wild animals in 2026!

A montage of people taking on challenges for Born Free - swimming, cycling and running

Could you take-on a new challenge to help wild animals?

New Year can be the perfect time to take stock, and set some new personal goals for the 12 months ahead, and Born Free is here to help and inspire!

Whether you’re looking to step-up your fitness and push yourself physically in 2026 with an ‘Ultra Challenge’ or get involved with fundraising events in your local community, every stride, pedal, swim or even coffee morning could help raise vital funds for wild animals in need AND help you achieve your goals.

We’ve teamed-up with event organisers up and down the country to invite Born Free supporters to take-part in one of our events – whether in the UK, like the Bath 50 Ultra Challenge, or (new for this year), the Surrey Three Peaks Challenge. Or perhaps something further afield, like a Kilimanjaro trek! Many event organisers offer up to 50% off their registration fees in January, so, now is the perfect moment to commit to your goal for the year.

If a physical challenge isn’t your cup of tea, we’ve also got plenty of ideas for those looking to do something closer to home, or spread our message of compassionate conservation to their local community.

Our friendly team will be happy to help you every step of the way – for any support with registration or fundraising, please contact us at: [email protected]
