£100,000 target reached thanks to you
Born Free has raised more than £100,000 for wild animals in just seven days, thanks to supporters and the Green Match Fund.
Thanks to a mammoth effort from Born Free’s incredible supporters, and the matched funding provided through the Green Match Fund, our Vanishing Futures: Save Africa’s Giants appeal has raised more than £100,000 in less than 7 days!
The Green Match Fund is a fundraising event which takes place each April and is specifically designed to help environmentally-focused charities like Born Free, by doubling the donations made by supporters during the week of the event. It’s part of The Big Give, a platform which offers people the unique opportunity to double the difference they can make in the world for the causes close to their heart.
This year, Born Free was raising money to help save Africa’s iconic animals – including elephants, lions, rhinos, giraffes and cheetahs – from a path to extinction.
The generous and kind donations from supporters to this campaign will help Born Free work with local communities in Kenya to reduce human-wildlife conflict, and keep both animals AND humans safe.
