Our education programme at Ensessa Kotteh, Born Free’s Wildlife Rescue, Conservation and Education Centre aims to offer both outreach activities to local schools as well as centre-based learning for schools, environmental clubs and community members.
Working with five local schools the programme combines theoretical learning with practical activities, covering topics that include our environment, habitats, biodiversity and animal welfare. Supporting the National Curriculum, this programme enables students to develop a broad understanding of the natural world, its importance and the need for its protection.

When open, we welcome small groups of students or members of the local and wider community to visit our education centre, to learn about our work and Ethiopia’s unique and important natural heritage.

Ensessa Kotteh is a working wildlife rescue centre. However, when possible, we welcome limited numbers of visitors who would like to learn about our work.
