In January, we were delighted to host a dinner at The Hari Hotel, London, with our Co-Founders; Virginia McKenna OBE and Will Travers OBE and Founder Patron Joanna Lumley.
We welcomed a small group of friends including loyal supporters, corporate partners and celebrities and were truly honoured to welcome Her Royal Highness, The Countess of Wessex.
The evening was an opportunity for the guests to spend some time with Virginia and Joanna, find out more about Born Free’s work, as well as some of the plans we have to celebrate our 35th year.
We began the evening with an informal drinks reception on The Terrace, with the Born Free Cocktail ‘The Jasper’ (named after one of our adopted tigers) served in honour of the evening and enjoyed by everyone.
The evening was a wonderful occasion with all of the guests enjoying their time with their hosts discussing the work of Born Free. Every single one of our guests were part of the lively, passionate and productive discussions around the dinner table on issues ranging from women’s empowerment to education, to environmental protection, conservation and animal welfare.
It was a wonderful way to commence our 35th year and we look forward to seeing more friends of Born Free, old and new, at one of our many events held throughout the year.
