CLIMB FOR CONSERVATION 2020

MOUNT KENYA EXPEDITION

Take on the challenge of a lifetime by climbing Africa’s second highest peak, Mount Kenya, and visit the inspiring conservation projects supported by the trek.

CHALLENGE DATES: Saturday 3rd to Sunday 11th October 2020

ITINERARY

Camping under starry skies, this five-day trip will take hikers through rugged volcanic landscapes, forests dense with wildlife, glaciers and sparkling lakes, up to the icy summit of Mount Kenya.

At the 4,985m peak, climbers will be rewarded with stunning panoramas of the African plains and views across to Mount Kilimanjaro if the skies are clear.

Following the descent from Mount Kenya, the group will have a unique opportunity to visit some of Born Free’s conservation projects in the area, which will benefit from the funds raised through the trek, witnessing first-hand the difference being made to local communities and wildlife in Africa.
