To many the wolf represents the true spirit of the wild – elusive, beautiful, intelligent and social. Yet to others, the wolf is a pest, a creature to be feared and hunted down. Wolves were eradicated from the UK 250 years ago and in many countries they have been bought to the brink of extinction.
