Mugaruka & Chimanuka the gorillas Magnificent Mugaruka and Chimanuka are extremely rare Eastern Lowland gorillas in DR Congo. Gorillas may be powerful, but they are peaceful vegetarians who live in close-knit groups. Both our males are massive silverbacks in charge of families, but poor Mugaruka has a major disability, he lost a hand in a poachers snare. Adopt our gorillas for £24 a year and help protect them from deadly bushmeat poachers AND protect great apes globally. |

Adopt Afrika the baby chimp Afrika was just a few months old when her mother and family were killed by poachers. The tiny baby was found in a wooden cage - filthy, scared and malnourished. Luckily she was rescued and nursed back to health at a sanctuary in Uganda. Here she has become friends with Mac, another orphan chimp. The pair get great comfort from cuddling each other. |
