"FIRST LIGHT" ARTIST PROFILES
NICK HARRISON
Nick Harrison was born in 1957 and has worked as an arranger for recording artists such as The Rolling Stones (Angie and Winter on the Goats Head Soup album). His piece The Nagual and the Tonal for Oboe and Strings was performed in Wells Cathedral in 1995.
He has recorded a CD entitled The Silent Forrest with Michael Clark, from which two of the present tracks are taken. He is presently completing another CD with the singer Oshia Drury which includes The Mists of Time. LEE GRIFFITHS
Lee is a singer songwriter from Manchester who has toured with and supported artists such as John Martyn, Eddie Reader and Tom Robinson. Lee's first album, "Northern Songs" was produced by Trevor Horn for ZTT records, though he has moved on in many ways since his early involvement with them. The two tracks on this album are from Lee's forthcoming second album which is produce by Ian Grimble, who has worked with Travis, Texas, the Manic Street Preachers and many other name artists.
THE REALMS
The Realms are a collaboration between various artists involved with FACTA, which will feature many unique and varied styles of music and artistic combinations over the coming years. The track entitled, "Vox Bestia" (The Voice of the Animals) features David Duhig from the Dogstar Poets on guitar, Donald Hoo-Young aka Rain on vocals and was produced and arranged by Cheyne Towers of the Jerecho Project.
THE JERECHO PROJECT
The Jerecho Project are music production duo Cheyne Towers and Dave Stokes, who met in the vibrant Manchester music scene eight years ago. They are joined on vocals by Donald Hoo-Young aka Rain on the tracks "In Your Eyes" and "Sedna".
As a bass player Cheyne has recorded and gigged with: Anita Carmichael, Deborah Conway, Kangaroo Moon, Casa-Latina Allstars, Coldcut (Ninja Tune Records), Jimpster (Freerange Records), and with legendary New York drummer Bernard Purdie.
As a drummer Dave has gigged and recorded with Manchester bands including Moksa, East West Coast, The Dust Junkies and Wireless, plus sessions for bands which later became the Alpine Stars and Alfie. Dave also co-concieved Manchester's long-running Electric Chair clubnight.
DOGSTAR POETS
The track "Fare Thee Well" is from the album "Off Planet". Dogstar Poets is an
occasional meeting of old friends. David Duhig, Glyn Havard and Alan
Price are former members of "Jade Warrior", who have had a loyal following
since the 1970s. They were joined on this track by Brian Imig from
Chicago on Hammered Dulcimer. For lots more info about the band please

LIFUS + DAVID
Taken from the forthcoming album "Angel Isle" which includes the
revelation of "Rosa Mystica", revealing the Holy Spirit, through it's
champions: In this case Arthur and the lessons of the Grail.
"Little Egypt" (a secret name for Glastonbury) is a cameo of Arthur's
baring of the spirit. "Angel Isle" is witness to Arthur giving up the
ghost; with grace and promise, A promise fulfilled in an atmosphere of
love.
