Party for Animals Worldwide announces Launch Event - Pink confirmed to headline.

Tuesday 21st August 2007 - Cardiff International Arena

Party for Animals Worldwide (PAW) today announced the date and venue for its inaugural fundraising event to raise funds on behalf of Born Free, as well as other animal organizations as listed below.

The PAW 2007 concert will take place on Tuesday 21st August 2007 at Cardiff International Arena.

Pink, the multi million album selling superstar, has added an extra date to her sell-out European tour in support of PAW’s ground breaking first event.

PINK said;
“I am very happy giving my time to this very worthwhile cause. I am passionate about animal conservation across the world and through my involvement with PAW I believe we can greatly help raise awareness and funds for animal conservation and welfare charities worldwide.”

Pink’s most recent album, ‘I'm Not Dead’ has now sold over one million copies in the UK, and includes four top ten singles. She also received a Grammy nomination for Best Female Pop Vocal, and a nomination for Best International Female at this year’s Brit Awards.
 
Support acts will be announced over the next few weeks.

PAW is a not for profit organisation created to raise funds and awareness for animal welfare and conservation projects worldwide through the creation of an annual Party for Animals Worldwide Music event.

The event will raise money on behalf of 6 beneficiaries who are; SPANA, Marine Conservation Society, Born Free Foundation, The Monkey Sanctuary Trust, PDSA, and Animals Asia Foundation.

“I am very excited that PAW is being launched this year with the help of such an amazing artist who fully believes in the cause.  It’s about time we had a special event for animals and for some of the brilliant organisations situated all around the world that help to protect them. It’s going to be a great Party for Animals!”.
