Wild n Free Too

On Saturday 14th December 2013 Paws n Claws launched their second Wild n Free book ‘Wild n Free Too’ at Millbank Primary School in Pimlico, London. Many of the children whose stories and illustrations feature in the book were in attendance along with two of the judges, multi-award winning children’s writer, Gill Lewis, and Dr Who writer and YA novelist, Daniel Blythe. Born Free’s Marketing Director, Anne Tudor, also attended to show our gratitude for Paws n Claws’ continued support and gave a short talk to the children and guests on the work of the Born Free Foundation.

Wild n Free Book Launch

In August 2012, the book was launched at the Mayfair Library, which hosted 16 talented young writers and artists who experienced their publishing debut.

“The competition was set up following some creative writing workshops I was doing with children in North Wales. I realised there was a wealth of talent out there and wanted to give children the opportunity to become published writers.” Debz Hobbs-Wyatt.

“We were amazed by the quality of the writing and the talent the young children have for really understanding what it is to be a wild animal.” Virginia McKenna, OBE, founder of the Born Free Foundation.
