For every £1 you give, the taxman will add 28p!  Thanks to Gift Aid, Born Free can reclaim tax on donations by UK taxpayers.  It doesn’t cost you a penny – just fill in your details.

Have you ever made a one-off gift to Born Free?  Or do you give regularly to our charity via Direct Debit?  Born Free can reclaim 28p for every £1 donation.  So if you give £10, the taxman adds £2.80, giving a total of £12.80.

Higher rate taxpayers

If you pay higher rate tax, you can claim personal tax relief on your donations.  For example, if you pay 40% tax, and give us £10, we receive a further £2.80, making £12.80.  This is the ‘gross donation’.  However, you can also claim relief at 18%, reducing the tax you pay by £2.30.
