For every £1 you give, the taxman will add 25p!  Thanks to Gift Aid, Born Free can reclaim tax on donations by UK taxpayers.  It doesn’t cost you a penny – just fill in your details.

Have you ever made a one-off gift to Born Free?  Or do you give regularly to our charity via Direct Debit?  Born Free can reclaim 25p for every £1 donation.  So if you give £10, the taxman adds £2.50, giving a total of £12.50.

Higher rate taxpayers

If you pay 40% tax and give us £100 we will receive a further £25 from HMRC, making £125. This is the gross donation. However, you can also claim relief at 20% on the gross donation (being the difference between higher rate tax and basic rate tax), reducing the tax you pay by £25.
