Thank You to our 2011 runners
Runners in the Born Free “Run Wild Team” took part in the Great North Run on Sunday 18th September. We are pleased to report that they all made it and though suffering some aches and pains all were delighted with their times and running for Born Free.
Thank you to our runners: Stephanie, Tom, Steven, Sam, Michael, Sophie, Julie, Caroline (pictured right), Rachael, Andy, James, Oliver, Karen and Maeve.
Run Wild team member Karen said "WOW! It was so much fun! There was such a brilliant atmosphere with so much support from locals. I loved every minute of it and enjoyed knowing that I was running for all of those animals that need help and protecting. I did far better than I thought I would; running non-stop and finishing it in 2 hours 21 minutes! :) My legs are still very sore but it's worth it for the sense of acheivement!" Well done Karen and thank you from us all at Born Free.
