Wild & Live - a roaring success!

It was a unique, truly exceptional event. 14th November 2009, a magical evening of music, songs, comedy and dance. A celebration of wildlife, which raised vital funds to help save the lives of 25,000 wild animals.

Born Free’s Wild & Live! Concert took place at London prestigious Royal Albert Hall, the most spectacular of venues. For one night only, stars of the entertainment world gathered to help commemorate the Foundation’s 25th Anniversary, watched by thousands of Born Free supporters and sponsors.

The international line up was starstudded and our Founder, Virginia McKenna, and Chief Executive Will Travers were joined by a host of celebrity friends: singer and photographer Bryan Adams, actor John Altman, singer Peter Andre, newscaster Mark Austin, singer Tina Barrett, singer Mutya Buena, singer Gabriella Cilmi, actor Martin Clunes, singer Antony Costa, singer Beverley Craven, singer Kiki Dee and guitarist Carmelo Luggeri, Elephant Inspire Choir, rock violinists FUSE, Born Free Ambassador Lady Victoria Hervey, Erwin Keiles and the Big Five Band, presenter Nick Knowles, actress Rula Lenska, actress Joanna Lumley, presenter and investigator Donal MacIntyre, screen writer Ameera MacIntyre, actor and singer Michael McKell, West End star Lindiwe Mkhize, singer Tony Mortimer and East 17, presenter and entertainer Graham Norton, Seby Ntege and Embaire Strikes Back, top vocal trio Odyssey, cricketer Mark Ramprakash and dancer Karen Hardy, presenter Anneka Rice, presenter Wendy Turner Webster, actor Gary Webster, Fire Poet Philip Wells, pianist Robert Wells, dancers Catriona Wiles and Paul Warden and actress Helen Worth.
