From St Petersburg to South Kensington – hundreds of people turned out in the cold weather to hear about Born Free and two other charities working together to save the tigers.
At London’s prestigious Royal Geographical Society, Steve Trent from Wildaid, Debbie Banks from EIA* and our own CEO Will Travers gave moving and informative presentations about the plight of the tiger population and what is needed to ensure the right people take the right action.
And of course our Born Free Ambassadors were there too; Rula Lenska, Lauren St. John, Donal MacIntrye, Bill Oddie OBE, and Brian May CBE, as well as our Founder Virginia McKenna OBE listened on and enjoyed a very interactive Q&A session. Asia House, who hosted the evening, arranged a raffle and the sale of origami tigers, which the audience could inscribe with their own messages to the leaders of tiger range countries.
