Born Free Foundation would specially like to thank everyone who took action for Misha and Tom, helping us raise awareness and funds to rescue, rehabilitate and release Misha and Tom back to the wild.
See the magical moment the dolphins went back to the blue here.

With well over 20,000 people on the Facebook page and many others who have contacted Born Free directly, we decided to feature some of the inspiring efforts people are undertaking to help Born Free raise £150,000 for Misha and Tom's rehab and release! Read Misha and Tom's full story here.
You can find lots more ideas on how to fundraise on these pages as well as everything you need to run a successful event in our fundraising pack, which you can download here.
Thank you to Jollyes in Dover who continually support the fund with a collection tin in their shop.

Supporters of Born Free's efforts to rehabilitate Misha and Tom, Caroline, her husband Richard and sister Charlotte, completed a sponsored walk are of 6 miles to raise money to help with the cost of the rehabilitation of Misha and Tom in Turkey.
The team recently visited the site where Misha and Tom are being rehabilitated; meeting with the Back to the Blue rehab team, having a barbecue on the beach and presenting a cheque for the dolphins' rehabilitation (Caroline and Richard pictured right). Thank you so much!

Thank you to Tania Szabo and Tracey Le Feuvre who raised £173.57 at a car boot sale on 13th February. Tania generously donated her book ‘Young Brave and Beautiful’ about her mother who was a secret agent for the Special Operations Executive in occupied France during WW2 (Virginia McKenna played Violette in Carve Her Name with Pride). Following the sale of 7 books, Tania said ‘it is always a good thing to be able to offer that little bit to those who cannot protect themselves or have difficulty in doing so. In this case, dolphins’. Everyone who bought at the stall was handed one of Tracey's flyers outlining the story of Tom and Misha on one side and on the other, a piece about the truth behind dolphinariums. Tracey says "I hope that the flyers will have been thought provoking to those that read it." We do too!
Australian artist Sarah Menzies produces lino prints, paintings and photographs that portray amazing wildlife. A certain percentage from artworks sold will go to Born Free Foundation and Misha and Tom. To see Sarah's prints and how to purchase, click here.

WELL DONE - LARA & PATRICK !!!
"Lara and Patrick Ellwood decided to celebrate their 2nd wedding in a rather unusual way. They got up at 3am and met Ölüdeniz Mayor, Keramettin Yilmaz in the centre of Hisarönü, Fethiye. Together they did some warm up exercises and at 6am precisely they started a run that was to take them through the Göcek Tunnel and on to Dalaman Airport. They ran a total of 63k (40miles.) It wasn’t easy.........".
From their JustGiving page: "We ran, we struggled, we laughed and we hurt but we made the distance. Not only that we were the FIRST people to be allowed to go through the Gocek Tunnel on foot complete with police escort. The Dalaman mayor hijacked us just 10km from the end for a 30 minute press conference, but stiff and sore we continued on to the airport and finally and at last we made it. 7 hours running time and 8 and a half hours total time not record breaking but not a disgrace either. Please give all you are able to our worthy causes."
You can support Patrick and Lara through donating to their JustGiving page at www.justgiving.com/mishaandtom/

Melanie Hannam, daughter of Dolphin Angel Lesley Robinson, longed for the release of Misha and Tom. Collecting every piece of news on the story, Melanie held a Tea Party at her office following the dolphins’ rescue - as she explained "Northerners do like a cuppa and a slice of cake so I thought it would go down a treat." And it did! Aiming to raise £45 (a box of fish for Misha and Tom) she more than trebled this, making £170 with more to come! Inspiring!

Louise Hardy, an active campaigner on Misha and Tom's Facebook page, has decided to use a personal goal to raise funds for the dolphins' rehab and release. Louise has set herself the goal to lose three stone and is asking people to sponsor her to reach her target - all the funds raised will go towards Misha and Tom! You can do it Louise! Support Louise and Misha and Tom by donating to her JustGiving page at www.justgiving.com/LOUISE-HARDY.
Update: Monday 8th November - Louise has lost a stone!! As the pounds come off Louise they are going on Misha and Tom!
Many items will be needed for the rehab and release of Misha and Tom including food and care for the dolphins as well as ensuring the rehab team have everything they need to function. Why not use one of the following as a fundraising target, or if you think you can donate any of these items (perhaps not the fresh fish unless you are in Turkey!), please contact fundraising@bornfree.org.uk.
If you think your company could help to donate an item or service which would help the team with the rehabilitation and release Misha and Tom back to the wild, please contact fundraising@bornfree.org.uk.
A huge thank you must go to Sixt Rent a Car in Turkey who have agreed to donate a vehicle to the rehab team for the duration of the project. A vital tool for the project, this donation is much appreciated. Thank you!
Born Free would especially like to thank Manzara Construction for allowing Meryem Tekin, a key part of the dolphin rescue team, to take time off to help set up the rehabilitation project for Misha and Tom. Thank you!

Boyner Holding very kindly donated approximately 4.000TL (£1750) of water and wind-proof suits for the team caring for Tom and Misha who must travel to the sea pen in all weathers. Thank you!

Arçelik, a white goods and electricial company in Turkey, has very generously donated a microwave oven as well as supplying and fitting an air-conditioning unit for Misha and Tom’s carers camp. Thank you!
Jo & Serdal from Fez Bar have kindly loaned their dinghy to the team caring for Misha and Tom, thank you so much!
It is vital that the team caring for Misha and Tom are able to function properly so that they can focus on and give the best care possible to the dolphins. Thank you to all who have contributed to this ambitious project!
