Born Free Foundation - Keep Wildlife in the Wild

Be Responsible and phase-out bad practice

In an advisory capacity, the Born Free Foundation provides the travel industry with information about all manner of activities where wild animals are used to entertain holidaymakers.  Tour operators cannot be expected to know all about customer activities and ground operations in every destination.  Born Free aims to help identify, where possible, areas of concern, potential risks to customers and bad practices in worldwide destinations.

Part of this unique and tailor-made service also includes guidance about how to address and phase-out such practices, as well as identifying alternative activities or attractions to include in holiday itineraries.  To find out more about this service, unique to the Born Free Foundation, contact daniel@bornfree.org.uk

To help the travel industry identify bad practices, which negatively impact on the welfare and protection of animals, Born Free has compiled a comprehensive document - Issues of Concern.  This information is easily downloadable from the link below and will be an important reference for responsible business managers and product & purchasing managers.

For further information on any of the issues described in the downloadable PDF, please contact daniel@bornfree.org.uk
