Cosmas Mumba, Project Manager of the Born Free-supported GRI-Zambia Primate Project is currently taking part in a 3 week, fully-funded trip to the US. He was selected by the US Embassy in Zambia to take part in the U.S. Department of State's premier professional exchange program, their prestigious International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP). Through a series of meetings and visits to conservation projects in the U.S. Cosmas has shared ideas and knowledge with other emerging conservation leaders from around the world, along with their American counterparts. The thrust of his visit was to learn new ways to conserve wildlife and combat wildlife trafficking and to bring this knowledge back to Zambia.

We are looking forward to seeing how he will use what he has seen and learnt to further the conservation cause in Zambia.

It is so encouraging to see how a local person raised in a rural Zambian village is fast developing into a conservation force in Africa.
