Born Free Foundation - Keep Wildlife in the Wild

Myende Village is located next to the chimpanzee sanctuary on Ngamba Island, found in Lake Victoria.  The villagers rely on fishing from the lake, and their school used to hold its class under trees, with only four text books between 57 children.  Born Free helped create proper equipped classrooms, which has resulted in double the number of children attending the school.
