Bannerghatta Tiger Sanctuary India

Roque (c) T Wiles
Roque was on sale in a Spanish pet shop

Born Free has a sanctuary for rescued tigers within Bannerghatta Wildlife Park in Southern India.  Each of their natural habitat enclosures or 'kraals' offers the tigers a hectare of forest, night quarters, a pool, plus peace, space and privacy in this section of the park which is closed to visitors.  The tigers were transferred to Bannerghatta in 2002 and currently living there is Roque rescued from a pet shop in Spain when he was just a cub, and Zeudy, Harak and King, rescued from a run-down circus in Italy.
