Iregi grew up in rural Kenya close to Lake Nakuru National Park. He has ten years experience of working in wildlife conservation and groundbreaking research in rare primates. He previously worked for Kenya Wildlife Service, WildlifeDirect Inc. and Eden Wildlife Trust. He is an alumnus of the Kinship Conservation Fellows 2010, the USFWS MENTOR Fellowship Programme and Tropical Biology Association.
Manoa started with BFF in May 2003 as a volunteer and took up the position of Projects Assistant in April 2005. He works as the main field person for Born Free Kenya, overseeing BFF projects on the ground. He is also involved in research projects as well as animal welfare campaigns.

Victor has qualifications in Wildlife and Tourism Management. He has previously worked as an elephant keeper at the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and as a Community Outreach Officer in Nairobi. While at the Wildlife Trust, he gave presentations to visiting groups and tourists and was also worked with the communities living close to National Parks and Reserves.

Phoebe joined Born Free Kenya in Sept 2006 as the administration assistant. She is in charge of office management, accounts and all the other administrative functions at the Kenya office. She also assists in project work whenever the team need an extra hand.
She has qualifications in environmental studies and business management.

Makenna joined our Kenya office in September 2010 and is in charge of marketing, PR, events, media and oversees administration activities at the Kenya office. Her interests include fundraising for various community development projects and travel. As a wildlife enthusiast, Makenna’s interest in Born Free was realized with the Pride of Kenya campaign. She has qualifications in Business Administration, General Management.
Martin joined Born Free Kenya in March 2003. As head driver, Martin oversees all aspects of the fleet of 6 Landrovers to ensure they are in good condition for the bush. Martin is very familiar with the country, especially conservation interest areas. Martin is also very hands on in assisting with field projects, and is experienced in mountain climbing.

Having previously worked with the Kenya Wildlife Service, he is very familiar with all corners of the country and the different wildlife interest areas and issues. He is very competent in off road driving and a qualified mechanic.
