Born Free Foundation - Keep Wildlife in the Wild

Six of the eight species of bears are endangered.  There are around 25,000 Moon bears.  The IUCN¹ Red List, which lists all rare species, classes the Moon bear as ‘vulnerable’.  This means the species ‘faces a high risk of extinction in the wild in the near future’.
