Like all marine mammals, it can be extremely difficult to adequately care for dugongs in captivity.  Captive dugongs can suffer badly and have severely reduced lifespans.  Born Free campaigns to end the confinement and exploitation of dugongs, dolphins, whales and all wild animals for ‘entertainment’.
