Bereket Girma – Centre Manager, Ensessakotteh
Formerly employed in Omo National Park, Bereket was quickly offered the position with BFFE when African Parks left Ethiopia. Bereket speaks perfect English and has a diploma in construction, putting this experience to good use managing the building programme.
Tiffanie Meekins - Animal Care Officer, Ensessakotteh
Tiffanie is responsible for overseeing the care of our animals at Ensessakotteh. She comes to us with 10 years’ experience in both animal care and behaviour from sanctuaries in Africa and the United States. She specialized in primates and birds of prey but has experience with a wide range of species. With her masters degree in conservation biology, she will also be assisting with the centre’s release programme.
Ayalkibet Belay - Finance and Administration Head
Ayalkibet joined BFFE in 2014, but made a major difference very quickly. He speaks perfect English and has grasped the details as well as the philosophy of BFFE’s work making him a vital member of the team.
Fetene Hailu – Project Leader, Boarder Point Project
Fetene came on Board in March 2015 as Project Leader for the Boarder Point Project. Fetene comes to us from the Ethiopian Wildlife Conservation Authority (EWCA) where he held the post of Director, Wildlife Trafficking Control Directorate between 2012 and 2014 and before that Director, Wildlife Utilization Directorate, since 2008. Fetene has an MSc in Tropical Resource Ecology and is fluent in both Amharic and English.
